14gauge Sapim Hexagonal Head Black Brass 12mm Polyax nipples.

The large 5.5 mm six edge nipple head allow for a higher torque to be applied without damaging the spoke. Does not extend further into the rim than standard Polyax nipples.

Truing is best done from the spoke head side also to avoid damage to the black surface coating of the nipple, but can be done using  the outside square end of the nipple if need be.

Spoke wrench:(5.5mm hex) PT SW-18, PT SW-15, DT Swiss Proline Blue T-handle for hex head nipples. Can be tightened from the outside and the inside.

 

Perfect for a black H+Son TB14 rim. Unlike the double square nipples, which extends too far into the rim to allow use with the H+Son TB14 rim, the hex head nipples do not extend further than standard flat head Polyax nipples. Black brass nipples, black spokes and a black hub. You can't beat it!

Polyax Nipples

The rounded design of the Patented Polyax nipple head reduces the stresses produced by axial and lateral forces (inherent in wheels with low spoke counts and crossings). Polyax nipples re-align themselves within a rim hole up to 9 degrees in a radial direction and 6 deg in an axial direction, making for a much superior fit.
